Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 9, 2026

Who we are

Qibus (“Qibus,” “we,” “us”) builds car teledelivery technology that enables vehicle fleets to operate their vehicles remotely. We are based in San Francisco, California, United States. This policy describes how we handle personal information collected through this website, qibus.com (the “Site”).

For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@qibus.com.

What we collect

Contact form. If you submit our “Partner with us” form, we collect the information you provide: your name, company, work email, the partnership type you select, and your message. Providing this information is voluntary; we use a form only so you can reach us.

Email. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Technical logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure processes basic technical data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Site is used — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how visitors found us. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to recognize returning visitors. We use this data only in aggregate, to improve the Site.

The Site does not use advertising tools and does not embed third-party content other than the analytics described above. Fonts, images, and video are served from our own hosting.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • respond to your inquiry and evaluate a potential partnership;
  • communicate with you about Qibus if you have asked us to;
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
  • understand aggregate Site usage through analytics;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your information on these legal bases: our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries, keeping the Site secure, and measuring aggregate Site usage (Art. 6(1)(f)); steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); your consent, where you ask us to send you updates about Qibus (Art. 6(1)(a)); and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).

How we share information

We share personal information with the service providers that run the Site (below), and otherwise only where required by law (for example, to comply with a valid legal request) or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition — in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

  • Google. Google serves the Site (Firebase Hosting) and processes technical request data as our hosting provider, and provides our analytics (Google Analytics 4). Contact-form submissions are delivered into our own Google Workspace (Gmail and Google Sheets) — we do not use a separate third-party form service. See Google's privacy policy.

International transfers

Qibus and its service providers are located in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US — including from the EEA or UK — your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our providers' safeguards for these transfers: Google is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and our providers make Standard Contractual Clauses available in their data-processing terms. Contact us for details.

Retention

We keep contact-form submissions and business correspondence for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any resulting business relationship, and then for as long as reasonable record-keeping or legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below). Technical logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider for security and operations, in line with its standard retention schedule.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their data protection authority.

California residents: we collect only the categories of information described above, use them for the purposes described above, and do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You may exercise your rights to know, delete, and correct by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@qibus.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Cookies

The Site sets Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) to measure how the Site is used, as described above. It does not set advertising cookies. Our hosting or form provider may additionally use strictly necessary technical mechanisms (such as spam protection on form submission) required to deliver the service you request.

You can decline analytics cookies by blocking them in your browser settings or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Site works fully without them.

The Site does not respond to Do Not Track or similar signals. Other than Google Analytics as described above, no third parties collect personal information about your activity across sites through the Site.

Children

The Site is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. For material changes we may provide additional notice.
